Biography
Tristan Barrocks is a Jamaican-Canadian director, writer, producer, and educator redefining the storytelling landscape from Toronto — with a body of work that spans award-winning short films, national documentary series, and high-impact branded content.
His films have screened at the American Black Film Festival, Essence Festival, Swedish International Film Festival, Toronto Black Film Festival, and Hollywood North Film Festival. A multiple W3 Award winner, Tristan is recognized for excellence in both narrative craft and advertising storytelling.
Beyond the camera, Tristan is committed to building the next generation of filmmakers — as a professor at Seneca College, a two-time participant in the Diversity of Voices Initiative, and a judge for the CMF Racialized Production Portfolio.
