CIBC Black Entrepreneurship Programme
CIBC · Brand Film
Two friends. A coffee shop. A shared love of dogs and each other's company. The CIBC Black Entrepreneurship Programme film is a warm, fun, and genuinely joyful piece of branded storytelling — and deliberately so.
The brief was to bring the programme to life through a real story of Black entrepreneurship in Canada. What we found was a business born from friendship, built around community, and driven by the kind of quiet determination that rarely makes headlines but powers everything. I directed a production that required me to work with people and animals simultaneously — and to make the whole thing feel as effortless and natural as the business itself.
This film is proof that commercial work does not have to choose between being meaningful and being entertaining.
