Tristan Barrocks is an internationally recognized, award-winning Afro-Canadian commercial and film director located in Toronto. The writer, producer, and director focus on telling human-centred stories. He’s been featured on platforms like Henrys Canada, Glossy Inc, and Medium. His film Dear Black Dad┬áreleased digitally, has garnered critical acclaim for its authenticity and truth. Wallflower (Webseries 2023), Connecting the Dots (Docuseries 2019), and Mother To Mother (Special 2022) are note-worth instalments to Tristan’s directorial catalogue.

Tristan fuses his acting background and storytelling knowledge to provide a unique perspective to his directing style. He is a seasoned storyteller whose ability to relate to on-screen talent and communicate his creative vision technically to the production team is his secret sauce.

Tristan desires to tell human stories from a Black perspective authentically and meaningfully. Whether as a writer or director, he aims to create inclusive communities where BIPOC creatives thrive.
