Black Father's Day A.I.

Black Father's Day began as an experiment and became something much more considered.

Using AI-generated imagery as a storytelling tool — not a shortcut — I set out to explore whether these emerging technologies could be used as architecture for emotional storytelling rather than just visual novelty. The subject was Black fatherhood: its tenderness, its complexity, its visibility and invisibility in the cultural imagination.

What I discovered in the process was that AI imagery, when directed with intention, can access a kind of visual poetry that sits somewhere between memory and dream — which is exactly the emotional register this subject deserved. Black Father's Day is an experiment that taught me something about the future of the tools we use to tell stories.
